- What is a MUSH?
- A MUSH is a text-based online social medium to which multiple users are connected at the same time. MUSH are often used for online social intercourse and role-playing games. Many MUSHes are created as an interactive game, usually designed with some kind of theme, such as a movie or TV show, though social-only MUSHes are far from uncommon. - What is Transformers: Generations MUSH?
- Transformers: Generations MUSH is an online, text-based roleplaying game, based on the Transformers series of cartoons from the 1980s, and incorporating elements from the three Japanese-exclusive Transformers cartoons (Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory), and the Marvel, Dreamwave and IDW comic adaptations. The third season of the US release of Transformers, and in the three iterations of comics, really portrayed the aspect that beyond what you were seeing, there were battles going on elsewhere in the galaxy between the Autobots and Decepticons. Keeping that idea in mind, we take many different groups of Autobots and Decepticons that have appeared throughout the series, bring them together under an original theme that takes the basic foundation of the source material, and weaves it together into one coherant existance with newer material (such as the IDW comics). We are not a mixed-theme game, but a game with many character options developed into one, coherent timeline.
Set in the year 2015, ten years after the Unicron War, the Autobots and Decepticons have dug in on Earth and Cybertron, both factions now supported by members of the factions from around the universe. A plethora of character types are available, ranging from old favorites such as Optimus Prime and Galvatron, to Headmasters such as Weirdwolf or Fangry, Targetmasters such as Sureshot or Misfire, and Pretenders such as Carnivac or Octopunch, the oft-underrated Japanese characters such as Ginrai, Star Saber and Deszaras, and even options for conversion of characters from other sources such as Transformers Animated and Transformers: Robots in Disguise/Car Robots.
